Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (full time, one position)

LeanTaas Inc. seeks in Santa Clara, CA to work with product management and engineering to plan QA schedules and release cycles for product roadmaps.
  • Participate in product design reviews and provide inputs on functionality and performance requirements from a QA standpoint.
  • Design and develop test plans and test cases and get them reviewed by appropriate stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute test cases and document defects in the bug tracking system. Analyze defects, develop root cause analyses, and work with engineering to resolve them.
  • Develop and enhance test automation framework. Ensure automated regression testing runs on all builds, monitor test status/coverage, and fix any issues with coverage.
  • Champion QA and test-driven development within the team and ensure proper unit test coverage.
  • Work with DevOps to integrate quality checks into the build pipeline.
  • Work with engineering and product leads to improve QA process and keep it efficient.
  • Help recruit/mentor junior QA engineers and build a team.
Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus one year QA engineering experience. The one year must include experience with JavaScript/Python, Selenium/Protractor, and JIRA/Trello. In lieu of the above education and experience requirements, will accept Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, plus five years progressive post-Bachelor’s QA engineering experience. One of the five years must include experience with JavaScript/Python, Selenium/Protractor, and JIRA/Trello. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. All experience may be acquired concurrently.
