Staffing remains one of healthcare’s biggest challenges today, balancing patient demand, workforce fatigue, and resource availability in real-time.

In this session, Marisa Quinn, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, Director of Nursing for Infusion Services at UCSF Health’s Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, will share insights from implementing advanced AI systems across multiple infusion sites that collectively serve an extensive patient population each year. She will be joined by Niloy Sanyal, Chief Marketing Officer at LeanTaaS.

Marisa will discuss her team’s people-process-technology approach to digital transformation, focusing on how they addressed workload equity challenges by implementing AI-powered tools while preserving nurse autonomy and clinical judgment. She will highlight their journey from pilot to enterprise deployment, including the critical importance of two-way EHR integration, frontline staff involvement, and change management strategies to overcome initial resistance.

Niloy will complement this conversation by explaining how healthcare organizations can leverage AI technology partnerships to build financial resilience during challenging times.

This conversation demonstrates how AI-based optimization increased nurse productivity and improved workload balance across UCSF’s infusion centers.
