Lean into AI and predictive analytics to boost OR utilization and hospital bed management at LeanTaaS’ Transform Hospital Operations Virtual Summit
Operating rooms (ORs) and inpatient beds comprise some of the most important, complex, and expensive assets for hospitals and health systems. With mounting challenges exacerbated by COVID-19 and now RSV, such as pronounced financial pressures and workforce shortages, hospitals can no longer build or buy the capacity they need to treat a growing patient population and maintain access to care in these key areas. That’s why it’s crucial for hospitals to optimize assets with AI and predictive analytics to deliver on-time, quality care through the OR and direct inpatient flow efficiently. On average, LeanTaaS’ customers who optimize these assets see a financial impact of $500,000 per year per OR and $10,000 per year per inpatient bed.
Attend LeanTaaS’ Transform Hospital Operations Virtual Summit to learn from perioperative and inpatient capacity management leaders from top U.S. hospitals on how to maximize ROI and overcome common challenges by utilizing AI and predictive analytics.
Hosted in partnership with Becker’s Healthcare, Transform will take place Dec. 6 – 7, 2022 and is free for all to attend. The summit will connect over 2,000 healthcare attendees with health system executives, technology leaders, and industry experts to share OR and patient flow impact stories.
The first customers speaking on day one, Angela Yochem, EVP and Chief Transformation & Digital Officer at Novant Health and Brian Dawson, System VP of Perioperative Services at CommonSpirit Health, will give a plenary session discussing how they led deployment of AI to optimize their organizations, particularly in ORs, which are key revenue generators.
The day continues with an OR impact story from Megan Eubanks, the Senior Director of Business Operations and Perioperative and Procedural Services at The University of Kansas Health System (TUKHS) and LeanTaaS’ very own Ashley Walsh, the VP of Client Services – Operating Rooms & Inpatient Beds. During the session, attendees will learn about creating an effective block management system and how in less than a year’s time TUKHS achieved an 11% increase in block utilization, 3% increase in prime time utilization, and facilitated 98% more manual releases/transfers of time before the auto-release deadlines.
Following this session, an inpatient beds impact story featuring UCHealth reveals how the organization minimized daily chaos and enhanced operational decision-making by digitally transforming inpatient flow. The session is hosted by top capacity management leaders Pradipta Komanduri, the Chief Operating Officer at University of Colorado Hospital, Jamie Nordhagen, the Senior Director, Patient Flow and Capacity Management, Patient Representatives at UCHealth, and Dr. Darlene Tad-y, the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Patient Flow at the University of Colorado Hospital and the Medical Director, Capacity Management and Patient Flow for UCHealth.
Additional OR impact stories feature Ashley Larsen, the Director Of Surgical Services at Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center of McKinney (BSWH), who will join LeanTaaS’ Alex Williams, the Product Implementation Manager for iQueue for Operating Rooms, to discuss how BSWH is delivering timely and confident OR strategic decisions.
