As workforce shortages and tight financial margins remain key concerns for health systems in 2024, deploying AI-based software to reduce costs, help the frontline do their jobs better, and improve efficiency is critical to grow and thrive. In December 2023, LeanTaaS announced new product features and capabilities across its AI/ML-powered iQueue solutions for operating rooms, infusion centers, and inpatient beds to help its 180+ health system customers address pressing workforce challenges. These enhancements focus on forecasting staffing needs, reducing administrative burden, and improving the patient and provider experience for understaffed hospitals. Growth has come from organizations utilizing different EHR vendors, with 54% of LeanTaaS’ customers on Epic Systems’ EHR and 20% on Oracle Cerner’s EHR. LeanTaaS customers include 55% of the top 20 integrated delivery networks, based on revenue, who utilize Epic Systems’ EHR. Additionally, nearly 70% of the top 22 hospitals in the 2023-2024 U.S. News and World Report Honor Roll use one or more iQueue solutions to power their operations. 

LeanTaaS’ iQueue product suite unlocks hard-to-reach capacity in asset heavy areas of the hospital with its three solutions: iQueue for Operating Rooms, iQueue for Infusion Centers, and iQueue for Inpatient Flow. Each iQueue solution can be deployed remotely to drive better patient care through operational excellence by enabling dramatically more efficient use of resources and staff, shorter waiting times, faster discharges, and higher throughput. The iQueue suite powers over 5,600 ORs, 13,500 infusion chairs, and 20,000 inpatient beds. On average, LeanTaaS customers see an annual impact of performing 30-50 more cases per OR per year and generating an additional $20k/infusion chair and $10k/inpatient bed annually.
